Competitions
- We are happy to accept invitations from other clubs that have suitable facilities for disabled anglers and have had some most enjoyable outings.
- The National Championships and Qualifying Competition is held in May or June each year to all members compete for a place on the team (seven anglers) to represent Ireland at the International Competition.
- The International Disabled Fly Fishing Competition is held in Scotland , England , Ireland and Wales , hosted by each country in turn. In 2010 England was the host nation and the competition was held on Rutland Water.
- In 2011 Ireland will be the host nation and the competition will be fished on Lough Melvin
To be eligible to fish on the Irish Team an angler must have been resident in either Ulster or the Republic of Ireland for the 3 years immediately preceding the date of the Qualifying Competition. |
